The SmallRig Manfrotto-Style Drop-In Baseplate is designed for quick and easy transitions from tripod to shoulder rig use, the SmallRig Manfrotto-Style Drop-In Baseplate is compatible with the separately available Manfrotto 501PL quick-release plate. To insert the base plate, you can easily drop the plate into the baseplate, rather than sliding it in for easy and fast mounting.
The SmallRig Manfrotto-Style Drop-In Baseplate features two 1/4"-20 safety screws to prevent a 501PL plate from sliding out. You will also find a quick-release buckle with a locking lever that tightens the plate to the baseplate. You will also find multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads on the bottom of the plate for additional mounting options.
